Geological databases
After 65 years in operation, Brown Bros (NZ) Ltd has literally rooms filled with bore log records from around New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific. These logs have been entered into a computer database, bestowing a rich resource of detailed information. The database is employed to assist in providing accurate pricing for projects. Non-commercially sensitive bore logs are available for our customers' use.
Groundwater feasibility studies Groundwater feasibility studies are routinely conducted on behalf of large industry, commercial growers and district councils, to evaluate the water potential of an area prior to proceeding with a project. Private individuals also find them useful before purchasing lifestyle blocks or farm properties.

Soil logging As a value-added service Brown Bros (NZ) Ltd supplies a soil and geological descriptive service whereby geology from the drilled bore is recorded against depth.
Geological and hydrological reports A growing portion of our work involves reviewing and evaluating geological and hydrological reports completed by engineering companies and consultants. We summarise technical reports and present the information using everyday non-technical language that busy managers can appreciate and understand.
