With over 65 years experience, Brown Bros has worked right across New Zealand's wide range of geology including hard rock, large boulders, refuse material, slip zones, soft marine sediment, squeezing clays, caving sands and deep sedimentary geology. Our expertise and equipment has enabled us to carry out many succesful projects in the South Pacific, Australia and Indonesia.

Purchased in November 2006, our 6620DT Geoprobe is complete with all factory rig options and equipped with; Cone Penetration Testing equipment (CPT), Automatic SPT hammer, direct push DT32 core sampler, direct push RS60 core sampler, and Hollow Stem Augers.
Cone Penetration Testing (CPT)

Purchased in November 2006, the Geotech AB CPT system from Sweden is a cordless CPT with real time data acquisition. The high resolution data is transmitted using sound waves which travel through the steel probe rods. Probes include both 50MPa and 100MPa. Complete with CPT interpretative software which is able to provide information on soil types, SPT values, soil friction angles, relative density and other correlations if required.
Geoprobe 7720DT

Our new 7720DT Geoprobe complete with all factory rig options and equipped with; Membrane Interface Probe (MIP) and Electrical Conductivity (Direct Sensing) tooling, Automatic SPT hammer, direct push DT325 core sampler, direct push Macrocore MC5 sampler, and Hollow Stem Auger head attachment. Used for environmental and geotechnical investigation.
